Truecount RFID Names New Chief Technology Officer

RFID for retail solution provider continues to ramp up for new business, broadening its senior IT management structure

Dorset, VT, May 31, 2011 — Truecount Corporation (www.truecount.com), an innovator in RFID software for the retail industry, has appointed Andrew Perkins as the company’s new ChiefTechnology Officer, effective immediately. Perkins, who will lead the Company’s technology strategy, brings substantial IT industry expertise to the Truecount senior management team.

Mr. Perkins is a skilled IT leader, advisor, executive and strategist with 20 years of experience in Information Systems spanning a wide range of industries, from Fortune 500 companies to technology startups. Able to articulate and manage complex technological challenges from business, technical, process and ‘People’ points of view, he is known for speeding project execution, important for Truecount as the company prepares for multiple roll-outs of RFID programs and pilots.

Prior to joining Truecount, Perkins architected, delivered and managed major strategy, architecture and development engagements for several ‘Big 4’ consulting companies, and successfully built four high tech startups in the Internet Service Provider, Network services, D-CLEC / Telephone and Wireless space.

A recognized authority in his field, Perkins has presented numerous security, compliance and disaster recovery seminars, and has appeared frequently on NBC and MSNBC as an expert source. Until recently, he was member of the American Chemistry Council’s ChemITC Cyber Security working group, defining security standards for the chemical industry. He actively participated in Risk, Assessment & Preparedness and was a planner supporting the Department of Homeland Security’s Cyberstorm II security exercise.

Perkins replaces Atul Agawal, who will become Truecount Corporation’s Senior Technology Advisor.
